Slow & Steady Win The Race

This proverb is told in a reference to the fable of the hare and the tortoise. The tortoise who was walking slowly but steadily defeated the hare. The hurry or haste on the part of the hare was the real cause of his defeat, patience is great virtue. We should not be discouraged by the size of the task we have before us to do. If we do it little by little and steadily, we can get success. Great thing have been achieved only by tears and toils. We many work slowly but we should work regularly and steadily. Neither the indolent nor the impatient can make progress in the world. Great work can be done only if persistent efforts are made with patience and regularity.
